Slices of salmon are precisely weighted before being fed to the young female Great White Shark at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Nov 23, 2004. Accurate data like the amount of food the shark eats has been logged since she arrived at the aquarium. The Monterey Bay Aquarium put a female Great White Shark on exhibit in a million-gallon aquarium on September 14, 2004, three weeks after she was inadvertently caught in a commercial fishing net off Huntington Beach in Southern California. There are no other Great White Sharks on display in the world today, and no aquarium has ever exhibited a Great White Shark for more than 16 days.
