File picture taken in 1975 by MGySgt John Valdez, The Last US Marine In Saigon, of the lobby of the main street entrance to the US embassy in Saigon US, facing 4 Dai Lo Thong Nhut. The picture shows the lobby (MSG Post#1) of The Embassy, which had two separate set of doors. Behind the Marine standing post can be seen the other set of doors that lead to the Embassy courtyard. This particular set of doors were knocked-down on the morning of April 30 when a South-Vietnamese drove a fire truck belonging to The Embassy, through the doors and enabled South Vietnamese personnel to enter The Embassy lobby and climb the stairs to the 6th floor.
