A giant bilboard picturing late actor James Dean stands in the parking lot of the gas station/ grocery store "Blackwell's Corner". For years Blackwell's Corner has been known as "James Dean's Last Stop" since it was the last stop made by Dean at around 5:00 pm on the day he was killed in a car crash a few miles away on September 30, 1955.
September 30, 2005 will mark the 50th anniversary of James Dean’s tragic death in 1955.
