French Buddhist monk Matthieu Ricard at a friend's house in Oakland, CA, on February 10, 2007. Ricard, a Ph.D. degree in molecular genetics and the son of renowned French philosopher Jean-Francois Revel, resides at Shechen Tennyi Dargyeling Monastery in Nepal. Ricard has been scientifically assessed through MRI scans as one of the happiest people in the world.
